How are reservations made?

When you make a hotel booking using our online reservations system there are two methods you can use:

1. Online Booking: an online reservation is made by direct interface with our online reservations system. After availability has been checked, a form will appear for you to supply your personal details (once you are a registered user with a password, your details will automatically appear on the form). Once the system has accepted your booking there will an immediate message detailing confirmation of your booking. You will also be sent an email to confirm it.
2. Booking Request: Packages and a certain number of rooms which exceed the allotment cannot be handled using the reservations system. You need to contact the hotel directly by fax/email with the booking request. You will then receive a reply from the hotel by the same method.
 


Why are my credit card details required?

Your credit card details are required as a - form of deposit, - a guarantee against 'no-show', which also secures your booking until you arrive. When you arrive you can choose your method of payment e.g. cash, a different credit card or the credit card you have used as a guarantee.

In case you don't wish to give your credit card details using the net, you can fax the details.
 


What security is there to protect my personal information?

When you make an online booking or give your registered user profile details, we protect the information using a secure server. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology which encrypts all information you input before it is sent to our server.

All communication between server and individual hotels is secured using cryptographic technologies.

Our privacy policy is our commitment to the security of your personal information.
 


Logon/ Register

Should you make reservations from time to time, you should use the booking system to register. Your usage of this system will provide you with a password and your personal details will remain on file. As your name and password are used for you to log on, your personal details will be automatically accessed by the system.
 


Reservation numbers

When your reservation has been accepted the system will allocate a reservation number which will be used in any communication with the hotel concerning that reservation.

Your reservation number will be generated and displayed as the last step in the reservation process. The reservation number will also be used in the confirmation e-mail.
 


What if I need to cancel my booking?

If you are unable to keep your reservation, you must cancel the booking within the specified cancellation period to avoid your credit card being charged and any cancellation fee will depend on the length of notice you give; each hotel has its own policy concerning cancellations.

In order to cancel an online booking you will need to quote the reservation number and your e-mail address. If you made your reservation by fax or email directly to the hotel and not through our online booking system, you will need to send your cancellation notification directly to that hotel.
 


What if I forget to cancel my booking?

You will probably be charged for one night's accommodation if you fail to cancel your reservation within the specified cancellation period but the charge will depend on that hotel's cancellation policy. This charge will be made against the credit card you used to guarantee the booking.

We recommend you cancel your hotel booking at least 2 full days before your expected arrival date, to avoid being charged.
 


What if I have not received confirmation of my online booking?

You can expect to receive confirmation of your booking, including a reservation number within 48 hours. If you do not receive confirmation within this period please contact the hotel directly.
